THIS IS OUR HOME. YOU’RE PART OF IT.

A farm with a little more heart.

Icelandic horses, honest hospitality and days shaped by the land.

Sævar with a horse at Arabær
MEET SÆVAR & LOUISE

Real people.
A real Icelandic welcome.

We’re Sævar Örn Sigurvinsson and Louise Anne Aitken. Arabær is our home and our working horse farm in South Iceland.

Sævar has trained, competed, shown and judged Icelandic horses both at home and abroad. Louise has spent much of her life working with horses in Scotland, the Netherlands and Iceland.

Here we breed and train Icelandic horses, welcome guests, and share the countryside we know so well. Come say hello at the stables, ask for a favourite local route, or simply enjoy the quiet of your own holiday home.
