Simple, clear information to help you feel at home before you arrive.
Good guests. Good neighbours.
Arabær is a working farm and a family home. Keep gates as you find them, ask before entering paddocks or stables, and never feed the horses without permission. Supervise children around animals and farm equipment.
No smoking inside the holiday home. Respect the quiet countryside, leave the house tidy, and tell your hosts if something needs attention. Please ask before bringing pets or inviting extra visitors.
Your booking request
A request is not a confirmed reservation. Your hosts review dates and details before confirming the stay. Where no nightly rate is set, the total is on request. The final price and cancellation terms must be agreed with the hosts before acceptance. This website does not take card payments.
Your information
We use your name, contact details and stay information to manage your reservation. Only authorized farm administrators can access the booking console. Keep your private reservation link safe; anyone holding it can view the details of that reservation.
Our interactive map uses Google Maps. Please open the directions link instead if you prefer not to load the map. Essential application cookies support secure administrator sign-in; there is no advertising tracker in this website.
FREQUENTLY ASKED, HAPPILY ANSWEREDIs this a real working farm?
Yes. Arabær is our home and a working Icelandic horse farm. Please respect gates, equipment and the animals, and ask your hosts before entering working areas.
Can we meet the horses or go riding?
Ask your hosts about a visit to the stables and current riding availability. Riding is arranged separately and is not included in your accommodation request.
Is our booking confirmed immediately?
No. The website records your reservation request and holds the selected nights in this calendar while the hosts review it. A host must confirm the booking, final price and cancellation terms. No card is charged.
What is the cancellation policy?
Direct cancellation terms have not yet been published. Your hosts will confirm them before you accept a reservation. Terms on Airbnb or Booking.com apply only to reservations made on those platforms.
What are the arrival and departure times?
The verified holiday home has check-in from 15:00 and check-out by 11:00. Check the individual accommodation page for any house-specific times.
Do we need a car?
We recommend one. Selfoss is approximately 26 km away and public transport does not bring you to the farm. Free parking is available.
Can children and pets come?
Families are welcome, subject to the home’s occupancy limit. Please ask your hosts about a cot, highchair or bringing a pet before booking. Children must be supervised around the horses.
Will we see the northern lights?
Possibly, if you visit during the darker months and conditions are right. We cannot guarantee them. Summer brings long daylight hours instead.
